I can identify series circuits
Series circuits can be identified as they have one path between the positive and negative terminals of the battery or power supply.
If there is only one path to take, it is a series circuit.
It can be difficult to identify a series circuit when you have voltmeters connected as voltmeters are connected in parallel.
Voltmeters are observers in the circuit and do not form part of the active circuit so do not provide an alternative path for current to go down hence do not make it a parallel circuit.
