I can perform simple calculations to work out a constant speed from a distance and a time

To use the s=d/t equation to perform calculations, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Write down the distance and time from the question onto your paper and make sure they are clearly identified
  2. Write out the s=d/t equation down in either the word or symbol form
  3. Substitute in the distance and the time and write these down in full
  4. Complete the calculation and write down your answer

Here is an example question and model answer:

What speed is a jogger running at if they take 8 seconds to jog 10m?
