I can perform simple calculations to work out a constant speed from a distance and a time
To use the s=d/t equation to perform calculations, you must complete the following steps:
- Write down the distance and time from the question onto your paper and make sure they are clearly identified
- Write out the s=d/t equation down in either the word or symbol form
- Substitute in the distance and the time and write these down in full
- Complete the calculation and write down your answer
Here is an example question and model answer:
What speed is a jogger running at if they take 8 seconds to jog 10m?
