Accuracy is a measure of how close a measurement is to the true value

The term accuracy is used to describe how close your measurement is to the true value.


The photo below shows a good method which will give an accurate measurement to find the diameter of a circular 100g mass.

A measurement which is close to the true value can be described as accurate.

A measurement which is far away from the true value is not accurate.
