The range of a gravitational field is infinite so all masses exert a force on all other masses through gravity, at great distance, the force is very, very small

In theory the range of a gravitational field is infinite, i.e. it has no maximum range. At very large distances though, the forces involved will be very very small.

In practical terms, there is a distance where the force can be considered negligible for all but theoretical scenarios, but it is still there, just very, very small.
