Air resistance increases as an object moves faster

In Example 1 below, you can see that as the ball falls faster, the air resistance acting upwards on it increases.

In Example 2 below, you can see that as the velocity of the car increases, the air resistance acting backwards increases.

Both of these scenarios demonstrate how air resistance increases as the velocity of a moving object increases.
