In a series circuit with only bulbs connected, when you halve the number of bulbs in the circuit but keep the number of cells the same, the current will double

When you halve the number of bulbs in a series circuit, you halve the resistance, and so the current doubles.

We are assuming the bulbs and batteries used in the circuits are all identical.
