I can identify a picture of a circuit from a circuit diagram

When identifying pictures of circuits from circuit diagrams, the most important things to do are:

  1. look carefully
  2. check every detail
  3. follow the wires
  4. check how components are connected.

It is a game of spot the difference and you must make sure you look for the similarities and differences between the pictures and the diagrams.

Things to check:

  1. which way round the battery is
  2. how many connections at each junction/connection
  3. which components are connected together
  4. which order components are connected in

Below are some examples of circuit diagrams which have been drawn from the corresponding pictures of circuits:

Remember to check all details and look for components in the pictures being connected the same as the circuit diagram.

Why not try and draw out a picture of the circuit yourself from the circuit diagram without looking at the pictures.
