The current coming out of the battery/cell/power supply is equal to the current going back into the battery

In all circuits, the current coming out of the battery/cell/power supply is the same as the current going back into the battery.

Current is not used up.

We are assuming the bulbs and cells used in the circuits are all identical.

This holds in simple series circuits and more complicated parallel circuits. It holds in all circuits.
