I know the circuit symbol for a wire

Wires are represented by straight lines, drawn with rulers, in circuit diagrams. The wires can be straight, or have 90 degree bends.

Wires can be joined together like in the diagram below. The dot on the wire shows that the wires are connected at that point.

If wires need to cross over but not connect, that can be represented on a circuit diagram like this:
