All Textbook Topics - Electricity - Current in series and parallel circuits - When you double the number of cells in a battery but keep the rest of the circuit the same, the current going in and out of the battery will double

When you double the number of cells in a battery but keep the rest of the circuit the same, the current going in and out of the battery will double

Increasing the number of cells but keeping the rest of the circuit the same will have the effect of increasing the current out/in of the battery.

If we are also assume that each of the cells is identical, then if you double the number of cells, then you will double the current out/in of the battery.

Here is another example of this:

Previous
Current splits in parallel circuits, the current will split down each branch
Next
When you halve the number of cells in a battery but keep the rest of the circuit the same, the current going in and out of the battery will halve
